We aim to provide an inclusive experience so you can just relax and enjoy the ride.
Many bikes are OK for Bikeout, as long as it’s in safe, working order. You can ride a commuter, a road bike, a mountain bike, or a professional touring bike but before you make your choice please remember you should feel comfortable and confident riding this bike for 3-4 hours at a time.
It's possible road bikes will not be recommended for all rides, please read more about our route terrain on each trip page for more information. We strongly encourage all riders to schedule a tune up with one of our bike shop partners before Bikeout.
There is no rain date for our rides & we’ll travel rain or shine. Our group leads and volunteers have been briefed on how to manage inclement weather scenarios during Bikeout, whether on the ride or on-site. If there is severe weather which poses a significant safety risk to Bikeout riders, you'll hear directly from our team about next steps.
We do offer a payment plan to break up our ticket price into installments. We also offer 5 Access Grants for each Overnight ride, which include a free Bikeout ticket for individuals from communities typically under-represented in cycling and the outdoors.
Because of the length of our rides, additional safety concerns and the availability of alcohol at our event, all Bikeout riders must be at least 18 years of age to attend Bikeout and at least 21 years of age to drink alcohol.
